These statements set out your Annual Allowance position for the remedy period (2015–2022).
It is Important to Remember:

- You have 90 days from the date of receipt to respond and confirm your position.
- The RPSS gives you the figures you need to assess Annual Allowance charges and, where applicable, make a Scheme Pays election.
- Delaying action could risk missing out on compensation or refund opportunities.
Recent Updates on RPSS Processing (HMRC FOI Data – August 2025)
- 18,738 submissions have been made across the public sector to date, with many more RPSS recently issued in the NHS. This means a large number of members are still yet to act.
- Average refunds/compensation exceed £14,000 – but only if a submission is made.
- 60% of submissions were made directly by individuals, while 40% were through an agent. NHS members can claim back the cost of using an expert accountant via the NHS Cost Claimback Scheme – helpful given the complexity of calculations.

- 33 submissions per day (slightly down on the prior period)
- 45 processed per day (an improvement)
- Outstanding submissions are now decreasing, with cases around 6–6.5 months old currently being processed.
